Meet Rob

I have lived, worked, and owned in Santee since 1994. I was first elected to the Santee City Council in 2010. During this time, I started my own real estate and mortgage business, One Stop Lending & Realty, which I still run today.

In 2007, I was named the Santee Citizen of the year and received the Small Business of the Year award for the 77th State Assembly District, and in 2010 the “Five-Star Mortgage Professional” award by San Diego Magazine. I also served as the President of the San Diego Association of Mortgage Brokers, President of the East San Diego County Association of Realtors, and President of the Santee Chamber of Commerce. I currently also work as a Sales Manager for CMG Home Loans.

As a local business owner, I have had to consistently navigate our changing economy, regulations, and local ordinances. As a City Councilmember, I have used that experience to create and pass policies that support business establishment and growth. I have also been a part of the push for shopping and supporting locally, by actively participating in the Santee Chamber of Commerce, and helping host community events such as our summer concerts and annual festivals.

To further improve our local economy, I will continue to work closely with other business owners and local organizations to create events and initiatives that attract commerce to the city. I will also work to pass new ordinances on Council that support business operations in the City of Santee. My Staff at the city know very well now my motto that they need to “Find ways to say yes, not reasons to say no” to our constituents, businesses and builders/developers.
